I saw this the other day...The Mariners made the playoffs for the first time since 2001..
Recall how this was the year they had 116 wins in the regular season, and then upset by the Yankees 1 month 11 days after 9/11/2001.

So on..
They were also knocked out of the playoffs on Ichiro Suzukis bday on 10/22/2001.
Interesting that Shrek released that year in relation to Hurricane FIONA..
Also, Harry Potter was the # 1 movie...thinking about Weird Al, Daniel Radcliffe..
Plus the Dodgers with 110 wins so far this season....be funny if they finish with 111 wins..and the Queen symbolism important to 111 too.
Just wondering if this year will line up similar to 2001 and the Dodgers get upset...or maybe Seattle will come out with a big upset?
