This is what happens all the time with my Youtube comments. I went back to this video because I wanted to add something in the description. Notice it says I have 9 comments. Yet when I go to my actual comments it says I have 5 comments and only shows 3 comments. On top of this, I have to log in to my other account in order to comment back to people on my own videos most of the time. I've never tried it on my phone I guess, but I hate typing stuff on my phone.
My notifications pop up, yet I can't respond to messages that don't exist lol.
Has your channel ever been flagged? That could be why you can't comment on anything.
